Tranxigen’s innovations in the area of Polymer Electrolyte Membrane (PEM) based fuel cells have resulted in certain intellectual property related to advanced membranes and corrosion resistive, stamped metallic bipolar plates. The fuel cell patent portfolio covers major markets such as United States, Japan, China, South Korea, Germany, France, UK, Italy, Spain and Sweden. Tranxigen’s fuel cell partner is currently focused on the commercial development of a metallic bipolar plate that combines the low cost of a stamped metal plate with the proven electrochemistry of an elemental carbon surface. Fuel cell stacks for forklifts, automotive power and combined heat and power (CHP) are sectors foreseen to be the early beneficiaries of our innovation.
